Gleuto Serafim harbored a passion for information technology and made the decision, early in life, to pursue a career in the field. Throughout his 31-year career, Mr. Serafim has worked in a variety of roles and been involved in many different levels of IT infrastructure. Today, he draws on his past experience and strong skill set to drive the success of Tecala Group.
A noted businessman, entrepreneur, technologist, enterprise architect, and trainer who is focused on leadership, Mr. Serafim started his career as a system programmer at Digital Equipment Corporation. He worked at the company for two years before joining the Glendale Adventist Medical Center as a systems and network consultant. Mr. Serafim continued to progress throughout the industry and served as an infrastructure engineer at Digital Systems, network systems specialist consultant at Sydney Adventist Hospital, infrastructure architect at Sanitarium Health Food Company, and CEO of Sonnet and Sernet. He also worked for two of the biggest IT and computer companies in the world, IBM and Microsoft. His varied background enabled him to learn all facets of the IT and technology industries, and have helped him in his current position at Tecala Group.
Mr. Serafim is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in applied management and decision sciences at Walden University. He is expected to complete the degree at the end of the year. Mr. Serafim also holds a Master of Management in information technology and a Master of Information Systems Security in information management security and ethics at Charles Sturt University, an MBA at Heriot-Watt University, a Bachelor of Computer Sciences at the University of Newcastle, a Bachelor of Arts in religious studies at River Plate College, and a Bachelor of Arts at the University of Southern California. He stays ahead of changes in the industry through his affiliation with the Enterprise Architecture Group.
